MEISON is a collection of high-end and luxury women’s apparel brands including Jones New York, Misook, Ming Wang, and Kasper. We focus on elevated, timeless workwear and fashions that are easy to mix-and-match and designed to help build an effortless and reusable wardrobe. Our brands are found online, through specialty boutiques, and in stores with our various retail partners such as Neiman Marcus, Saks 5th Avenue, Nordstrom, Bloomingdale’s and Dillard’s.

Position Summary:

Meison is seeking a passionate Brand Specialist for our Specialty business that will add value by providing our retail partners with strong sales support and develop a deep understanding of our product. The Brand Specialist will report to the Director of Retail Performance  and will be responsible for gaining and retaining accounts, ensuring year over year growth while delivering excellent service.

Responsibilities: 

  • Boutique Stores
    • Liaise and partner with 3rd Party Reps
    • Open new US retail boutique accounts for Misook and Ming Wang brands 
    • Build and nurture relationships with our retail partners, exceeding expectations.
    • Drive sales through storytelling and product knowledge
    • Show Meison’s  seasonal collections and provide feedback to our Director of Retail Performance
    • Communicate trends, top styles and specific details
    • Provide timely follow-up, order processing, closure and tracking of sales
    • Manage NuOrder platform
    • Ensure marketing and email campaigns are being sent in alignment with the markets
    • Own the Go To Market strategy for boutiques
  • Tradeshows/Markets
    • Work closely with 3rd party reps to ensure product alignment at markets
    • Collaborate with Merchandising and Sales Management to determine product assortments for each brand at seasonal tradeshows and markets
    • Work with Marketing to ensure all showroom, booth and advertising elements are executed
    • Set up and work each tradeshow and seasonal market (travel of 15-20% required) 
 

Qualifications and Experience: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Merchandising or related field
  • 1 - 3 years in fashion apparel wholesale sales,  retail buying or merchandising,
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
